Permits, Licenses & Insurance

All vendors selling food, products, or services are responsible for obtaining any permits, licenses, and insurance required by the City of Minneapolis and the State of Minnesota. Community organizations providing free resources may answer "Not applicable" where relevant.

Vendor Fee

Vendor Fee: Waived for 2026

There is no vendor fee for the 2026 Beyond The Smile Walk. Approved vendors will receive confirmation and setup instructions.

Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors are responsible for providing their own tent, table, chairs, signage, supplies, and approved power source unless otherwise confirmed in writing. Additional requirements may apply to food vendors.

Agreement

By submitting this application, you agree to:

  • Comply with all event rules and guidelines provided by The Smiley Foundation.
  • Ensure all products, materials, and displays are appropriate for a family-friendly suicide awareness event.
  • Obtain and maintain all required permits, licenses, and insurance.
  • Provide your own tent, table, chairs, signage, supplies, and approved power source unless otherwise confirmed in writing.
  • Set up and break down within the times designated by event staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe space throughout the event.
  • Conduct yourself and your staff in a manner consistent with the spirit of the event.
